1. Our privacy-first approach
NiceFreeTools is designed so that the tools you use run directly in your web browser wherever possible. For these tools — such as our PDF, password, calculator and converter tools — the data and files you enter are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
A small number of tools require external data to function. For example, the Currency Converter fetches live exchange rates from a third-party API. In those cases only the minimum necessary request is made (for example, requesting current rates), and we do not transmit your personal information as part of it.
2. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information. We may collect limited, non-identifying technical data through analytics, such as pages visited, approximate region, device type and browser, to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
We use Google Analytics to measure this traffic. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; it does not receive the files or content you process in the tools. You can learn more from Google's privacy policy and opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Measure site traffic and usage through analytics.
- Remember basic preferences.
- Serve and personalise advertising (see below).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
4. Advertising and Google AdSense
NiceFreeTools is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense and may use other advertising partners to display ads. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we present a consent message before non-essential cookies (including advertising and analytics cookies) are used, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy and applicable data-protection law. You can grant or withhold consent, and change your choice at any time. Where you do not consent, ads shown are limited to non-personalised ads.
6. Your rights under GDPR and CCPA
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. Because we do not collect accounts or directly-identifying information, most data is limited to cookie and analytics identifiers. 7. Third-party services
Some tools rely on third-party APIs or libraries to function — for example the currency converter (exchange-rate data) and the grammar checker (an external proofreading service). Those providers have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them. We only use such services where necessary to deliver a tool's functionality.
8. Children's privacy
NiceFreeTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your choices
You can browse most of the site without providing any personal information. You can manage cookies via your browser and opt out of personalised ads using the links above.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
